The long awaited debut release from trop~pop pioneers Mighty Duke & The Lords is ready to set sail!

Recorded by Pikkle Henning (The Puta Madre Brothers) and mixed by Gideon Cozens, MD&TL’s first offering is a tropical storm on shore leave at your favourite watering hole.

Taking their cues from calypso greats such as Lord Kitchener and The Mighty Sparrow, the Melbourne quintet manage to extend the party to the next level, up where the fancy rums are hidden. Cheeky lyrics, wild rhythms and belting horns combine to create the ear candy for several summers’ sucking.

Comprising members of some of Melbourne’s most revered bands such as The Lucksmiths, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, NO ZU and The Suitcase Royale, Mighty Duke & The Lords create music that makes you smile and your hips (and cocktails) shake.
